How do I order?
—Here are a few pointers, tips and tricks to make sure you get the most out of your Amanda Makes Cakes experience.  Slide on over to the “Meet Amanda” page to get to know a little about me, then read below.

Contact me with your event date as soon as possible.  Dates book up quickly, and orders are taken on a first come, first serve basis.  Other questions may be answered here.

Custom cakes and orders over $50.00 require 50% non-refundable retainer.  Deposits can be made via PayPal, with a $2.50 processing fee.

Pick your flavors (up to one flavor per dozen cake pops/cupcakes).  Based on personal experience I recommend keeping the flavor choices for most events simple, with no more than 2-3 flavor options.  If your guests are offered more than 3 flavor choices your cake pops become the target of a tasting party where everyone may unknowingly eat more than their share of cake pops.  Two flavors is ideal, giving your guests the option of their favorite flavor of the two you’ve chosen.

Pick your design or theme.  If you are unsure what you’d like your custom pops to look like, leave the designing up to me!  I can make magic with a little inspiration and info about the event your custom order will debut at.  I am more than happy to steer you in the best direction.

Cake pops are hand-dipped in chocolate.  Chocolate behaves like…well, chocolate.  In other words, during the warm months they need to be cared for like you would a candy bar.  Keep in a cool, shaded area.  Direct sunlight will suck the color right out of your pretty pops, so be mindful of where you are setting your custom cake pops.  If you are picking your cake pops up a few days before your event, the refrigerator is the best place to store them.

Last, and most importantly, ENJOY!
